The Royal Australian Mint has partnered with the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) to produce a coin featuring images of all 20 Australian World Heritage Properties including the Budj Bim Cultural Landscape. It has a central image of a handprint, fan palm frond and a shell fossil to represent the natural and built icons and Australia’s Indigenous heritage. The $5 frosted uncirculated coin is in recognition of the 21st General Assembly and Scientific Symposium being held in Sydney from 1-10 September 2023.

The coins will be available from Thursday 7 of September 2023 8.30am, the Mint Coin Shop, Contact Centre and participating Official Distributors.

These coins are limited and not all stockists will choose to sell this release. Those that do have stock will only have a limited quantity available.

NOTE: We are not an official distributor and will not be selling these coins at the Tae Rak Aquaculture Centre. Informaton on how to purchase these limited coins can be found here: https://eshop.ramint.gov.au/2023-news-world-heritage
